Project Management Director

Job Description

The Project Management Director will lead CANTON’s CMC PM activities. This role will work directly with the Technology, Operation and BD leadership team and external clients on all Pre-IND to commercial CMC activities. The candidate must possess a strong technical understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of drug development, demonstrated with previous drug development and manufacturing experience. The role reports to the CEO and will be responsible for tracking key deliverables, communicating progress updates to key stakeholders, and facilitating strong collaboration between the CMC team, other internal functions, and external clients. This position will be based in Guangzhou, China. The position will require occasional travel to CANTON’s other sites and key clients.

Job responsibilities
1.Responsible for managing and coaching Project Management team, and leading the team to efficient and successful project delivery.
2. Responsible for maintenance and continuous optimization of project management system in Canton Biologics.
3. Responsible for whole management of project portfolio, facilitates cross-functional communication and drive for decision making.
4. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the industry
Understand customer needs and requirements, and provide tailored solutions to meet their objectives.

Job requirements
1. Master degree or above (PhD preferred) in pharmaceutical engineering, pharmacy, biology or related majors;
2. More than 5 years of project management experience in biological industry(CDMO industry experience is preferred), with proven track record of project management in the industry, including biopharmaceutical companies, CDMOs, and related organizations
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
4. Expertise in leadership.
